Sage’s Dish – AMC, GH & OLTL

Can’t believe another week has come and gone! There’s not a lot of news, but there’s a bit of good news here and there, so I guess a little bit of good news is better than lots and lots of bad news!
AMC
Big news on the heels of the announcement that Julia Barr is returning to the role of Brooke for a “big story arch” is the word that Cady McClain will be briefly returning as Dixie. All that is known is that she’s back in early March, that her story involves Tad (of course) and that the stay is not long term. Dead or alive is unknown.
Rum0rs abound that Julia Barr’s return is actually a vehicle to take Adam out of Pine Valley as the two former lovers exit together. God, I hope not. Hmm.
Executive Producer Julie Hannan Carruthers says that a new writing team will soon be in place with a Head Writer to be named. ”Within weeks.”
Bachelor Bob is about to regain that title as news breaks that he and wife, Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) are splitsville.
GH
As the younger side of the internet world say, “LOL whut?” Here is James Franco’s take on his time spent on General Hospital. Clickety click.
Helena in February. Woot!
Rumors of Brenda in May.
Liz has a total breakdown.
Matt Borlenghi is eager to get into the role of Valentin Cassadine and calls him “spiritually bankrupt.” This is yet another story that was back-burnered so James Franco could get his performance art experience and write that pretentious piece of crap in the first GH paragraph.
In the spring, Maya and Zoe Ward, half-sisters and great-granddaughters of Edward Quartermaine, will be coming to town. Zoe is slated as a love interest for Michael. (Just in time for summer scoobies)
Sonny is headed for big legal troubles. He looks to retire and offers the business to Dominic, which deeply offends Michael.
Someone gets shot at Josslyn’s christening. Just another day in Port Charles.
Mac and Alexis are a go and will continue to try and draw interest from the older crowd of us.
When Sonny finds out that Dante is his son, he proudly accepts him into the family, alienating Michael even more.
OLTL
February sweeps for OLTL are rumored to include a snow storm that strands several key characters together to climax their stories.
Florencia Lozano (Tea) is working on a long term contract. Expect her to stick around for a while.
The rumors are getting much stronger for a Thorsten Kaye return to the role of Patrick Thornhart. Supposedly, OLTL was waiting for official word that he was done with AMC and the contract is being negotiated even as we speak.
